Rights are placed on the market under the same share code as the real share, but with the letter N added to it.

For example, the Taste Holdings share code is TAS and the rights were placed on the market with the share code TASN - see image below.

If as part of the Taste Holdings Rights Issue you were awarded rights in your Investment Account you would have a holding for Taste Holdings Limited (TAS) as well as a holding for Taste Holdings Limited "Rights" (TASN).

It is therefore VITAL before making a trade to ensure that you are trading in the correct instrument.
